Evoralis Selected as a Falling Walls Venture Finalist

18 August 2026 - We are delighted to announce that Evoralis has been selected as one of the 25 finalists for Falling Walls Venture.

Falling Walls Venture is an international platform celebrating science-based start-ups that are turning breakthrough research into real-world impact. Being selected as a finalist is an exciting milestone for Evoralis and a recognition of the potential of our enzyme technology to help address one of the most urgent challenges in materials circularity: textile waste.

At this year’s Falling Walls Science Summit, Evoralis will pitch under the title:

Breaking the Wall of Needless Textile Waste

Today, the vast majority of textiles are not recycled back into high-quality materials. Blended fabrics, synthetic fibres, dyes, finishes and inconsistent waste streams make textile recycling technically and economically difficult. Evoralis is working to change this by engineering high-performance enzymes that can selectively break down hard-to-recycle polymers, helping unlock new pathways for circular textiles and plastics.

Our platform combines ultra-high throughput screening with enzyme evolution to identify and optimise biocatalysts for real-world waste streams. By working directly on challenging materials, including blended and semi-crystalline polymers, we aim to develop enzyme solutions that can support scalable, high-value recycling in partnership with brands, recyclers and materials producers.
