21 November 2025 - Yesterday, our CSO Mariana Rangel had the pleasure of speaking at the NOVA Advanced Recycling Conference 2025 in Cologne as part of the Biochemical Recycling session.

She presented her talk, “From Hits to Hotspots: Ultra High Throughput Directed Evolution for Nylon Depolymerisation,” showcasing how Evoralis is rethinking enzyme engineering through fast microfluidic screening and sequence-aware bioinformatics.

Her session highlighted how our closed-loop discovery engine allows us to identify mutational hotspots across thousands of true hits, enabling the design of next-generation enzymes with improved activity, thermostability, and polymer accessibility - all critical for recycling real-world nylon waste streams.

Beyond the technical discussion, Mariana also shared Evoralis’ broader mission: enabling true textile circularity by unlocking scalable enzymatic recycling for synthetic fibres.

It was an inspiring two days full of insightful conversations, new connections, and a clear sense that innovation in biochemical recycling is accelerating fast. Thank you to the NOVA team for hosting such a forward-looking event - we’re excited to continue contributing to the future of circular materials.
